So, you’re a quarantined family and you’ve got some extra time on your hands… What in the world are you going to do with it all? Or better yet, what should you do with it all?
How can parents use these coming weeks and the extra time they’ll have wisely and in a way that will ultimately honor the Lord?
I want to challenge you to be intentional and come up with a plan. Because we all know that “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.
So ask yourself, “Six weeks from now, what would I like my family to look like… to have accomplished… or to show for… our extra time together?”
Think with me… if you came up with a plan and carried it out as a team, how many projects could you tackle, people could you help, and fun could you have? We all have the same choice – we can either take advantage of this time, or we can squander it.
Parents, the ball is in our court. Why not take some time as a family to discuss and write down some of your priorities for the coming weeks? To make it super easy, here’s a free checklist to use! (Print it, Plan it, and then Execute it):
One more thing…
If your kids would like to get it on some daily fun while in quarantine, shoot me a friend request on Facebook! I’ll be wearing my “children’s pastor hat” Mon-Fri at 11am(CST) with a fun and brief FB Live video that your kids are sure to enjoy. It’s called Pastor Andrew’s Daily Dose of FUN! (It’ll be a Whopper of a good time! See what I did there 😉 )
I hope your kids can join in on the fun (and yes, you’re welcome to join too if you want :).
Feel free to share this so other families can benefit from these resources as well. Thanks!
