Last week was interesting, to say the least, to see how people on both sides of the issue responded to the possibility of the Supreme Court overturning Roe vs. Wade.

While there are so many things that could be said, I want to simply encourage you to have an honest conversation with your kids this week about the biblical importance of this issue.

Talk about what God has to say about every life and its value in his eyes. Also discuss what this decision could potentially mean, both the benefits and challenges, for followers of Christ.

Here are some verses to help get the conversation started with your kids?

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalm 127:3

Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee. Jeremiah 1:5

Thus saith the Lord… and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things. Isaiah 44:24

As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.  Ecclesiastes 11:5

For thou hast possessed my reigns: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works… My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:13-16

But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. Luke 12:7

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
